Dr. Romana Kulikova

Dr. Kulikova is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society. In addition to seeing patients with a broad spectrum of neurological conditions, she is dedicated to providing care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, such as muscular dystrophies and other conditions affecting the muscle or nerve. She also cares for children with spasticity due to cerebral palsy and other causes, and offers treatment with Botox injections in addition to other treatment modalities.

Dr. Kulikova is board certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. She was born in Czechoslovakia and received her doctoral degree at the prestigious Charles University in Prague. She completed her residency in the Pediatric Neurology program at Columbia University in New York.  She received additional specialized training in neuromuscular disorders through a post-doctoral fellowship, also at Columbia University.  Prior to and during her training in pediatrics and neurology, Dr. Kulikova participated in basic science research in the field of mitochondrial diseases, and research on Glut1 deficiency syndrome and spinal muscular atrophy.
